It's SNOWING outside, as in properly snowing. Blizzard conditions and settling fast, there must be at least 6cm in the last hour. The best bit is I have the day off tomorrow, so I don't need to make my excuses to go outside and build a snowman, carrot, coal and scarf is at the ready ;)

Okay, I'm completely jealous now. Oz looks amazing - kangaroos, peppermint coloured sea... although anything is better than Felixstowe brown! Have to say that when I saw the photo of the camper I did have to laugh out loud, then showed the family and laughed some more (sorry!) Dad's friend has just got back from Adelaide and said he loved it, so looking forward to hearing more Australian adventures soon.
It's VERY cold here now, so very envious of all those photos of you both in the glorious sunshine. Its been a great week, managed to drag my birthday out to several nights out with different groups of friends (thanks for the Bday wishes).
Have even managed to find the time to decorate the office with some festive paper chains, I had the very important task of passing up the sticky tape ;) Role on Christmas and the festive season. My youngest nephew still believes in Santa, so finding it really hard not to trip up and give the game away, can you believe he thought that Bin Laden ran Oxfam!!!! Oh the laughs we had when we found that one out. Happy travels and here's hoping that the next camper is more what you had hoped for - although really, you're never gonna forget that one in a hurry ;)

Hi! Just wanted to say a big hello from chilly Hitchin. David has been keeping me updated as he reads your blog entries while I am feeding little Ben. Sounds like you're having a great time and we're enjoying the tales of your adventures. Wishing you both a wonderful xmas in the sun. Missing you, lots of love Michelle, David & Ben xxx

Wow you really are the other side of the world now. You were completely right when you said I would have loved the dragon boat racing, give me a boat and a drum any day:) You need a boat here at the moment anyway, all it does is rain!!!
I don't know what it's like where you are but the Christmas music is in full flow, celebrities we've never heard of are switching on the Christmas lights and blow up santas are adorning peoples doorsteps - all that and it's only just December!
I'm off to a fairy party on Saturday - a friends 40th!!! Can you imagine me dressed as a fairy! Actually don't answer that... I thought if I take a can of red bull as a token effort and say that it would give me wings, what do you think?
Oh and I can confirm that there were two reindeer.
Happy travels and David I was only joking with my comment about not being able to tell the difference between you and the monkey ;)
Jenny & David
Hello Everyone!
We've just finished our SE Asia leg so there's a couple of blogs for you to read. No photos I'm afraid as the uploader isn't working so we'll add them next time.
As always, thanks for all the messages, we're really enjoying reading them, keep it up! :)
Love Jenny & David xx

Only Finch could write about phoning a man about a reindeer. Just the one?
Come on then, let's hear about Oz! Quite relieved you're back in civilisation, nothing strikes terror into a mother's heart quite like, we looked at the maps and thought we could find our own way round the jungle...........
Cold and wet here, so need to hear more about hot sunshine and blue skies please.
Finch
Hello,
You must be arriving in Oz around about now, hopefully less leeches there although watch out for the spiders!!! You're being very adventurous with all your treks in the jungle. The best bit for me is I get to hear all about it from the comfort of the sofa ;)
You're probably in the best place as well, what with sun, sea and sand. we get rain, rain and more rain, then gale force winds. Not as bad as up north which has had lots of flooding (there's a picture of NT staff canoing in a tearoom!)
Bristol was fab, great to see Luc and Ollie. Work is busy, last week we were talking about peeing on compost and this week poo counting for a survey of deer populations, nothing like lowering the tone! I mean how many people can say they had to phone a man about a reindeer and write an article about travelling sheep... Seriously, we should go into a book publishing business, with the stories we could tell ;)
Loving the blog, especially the different versions of how things happen. Happy travels ;)

Hello ,
You both look ( tanned) and blogwise 'sound' well.
Heights and frogs , I'm certainly there with both 'phobics on these.
Could we have a Dad C plea/request for more people and less tree roots in your photos .Is David hogging 'his' camera again , Jenny?
We have lots of family pictures w/out DJ as he's behind the camera. We know 'composition ', how ever long it takes, is important ;)
Soon be December, Christmas then ..2010.And you'll be back to UK weather, London , jobhunting, pressure --oh joy unmittigated!
1st Seasons greetings to all your Blog followers. My last ( promise) message of the year.

Loved the careful composition of the last photo.I am sure it was just for artistic value! Don`t worry about any lack of Marmite you will soon be in the home of Vegemite.
Think of us at home, storms and gale force winds are forecast for this weekend, well it is November and a good time to be away.
Enjoy Malaysia and try to get to Changi Jail in Singapore-a moving experience.
Take care,all the best

Hello,
Exhausting and envy creeps in just reading your blog and seeing your photos.Like the rare one of the two of you and also the one with the beer bucket!
When mentioning where you are a lot of people said great things about Georgetown and the country generally.
Keep reminding us how warm and pleasant it is there in comparison to here ;)
Happy travelling and blogging!
Dad C..aka Ian

Ey up ;)
Making friends with the locals I see (albeit the hairy kind), I bet you're glad to have a bit of a break and relax in the same place for a while. A real adventure on all accounts.
I'm off to Bristol this weekend to see Lucy and Ollie, haven't seen them in AGES so will be really good to catch up. Although very chilly here at the mo (I bet your not missing the British weather). Got lots of holiday still to take, so am on 4 day weeks now til Christmas (yay). I think you will find it is only 43 sleeps, 3 hours and 6 minutes until the big man is due, that's if you've been good!!!!
Take care as always to you both, hope Malaysia is fun.
P.S. Suvi loving the fact that we are commendeering Jenny and David's blog to talk about ladybirds! You are so right though they were Harlequins. Most of them are now squashed from opening and closing my car door, but you will often see one fly past whilst driving along...
