Today we went to the beach but it was a bit rough to boogie board so we had a wander and then we decided to do some sandcastle building. We made a mermaid, some monsters, ships and dug a few deep holes.

This morning we drove around Bremer Bay to look at some beaches and lookouts. After lunch (Fraser and I made pancakes) we drove to Blossom Beach which was windy but had some good waves for boogie boarding. Late in the day there was lots of lightning and thunder but we only received a little bit of rain.

After breakfast we enjoyed a walk around Wave Rock which helps supply water to Hyden (runoff from the rock is diverted into a dam) and is the main tourist attraction in the area. Many other rocks occur in the District and were able to be seen from the top of wave rock and as we drove south to Lake Grace. The quiet backroads were a good chance to do some more school work before we arrived at Bremer Bay for the night.

After 3 nights at Lucky Bay we packed up and headed back into Esperance to wash the car and caravan before heading inland again. The main supermarket was closed (it's Sunday in WA) so we bought limited supplies at the small IGA and set off. Today we walked up Frenchmans Peak which was a rocky scramble up and back following some route markers. The view from the top was great although a goanna on the track on the way up and a swarm of bees coming down weren't very friendly! We visited some beaches (Hellfire Bay and Thistle Cove) on the way back to Lucky Bay where we enjoyed some more kayaking, boogie boarding and swimming.
