Monday 1st August This morning Jane, Paul, Kev and I went to visit the caves and the local village. We bought some bubbly and some of the aperitif wine which we had so enjoyed the previous night. Friday 29 July 2011 Wow what a day! Up at 6am, packed our bags, breakfast and then waiting for the guy to come and check the apartment (8am). Once done we left for the Metro - 2 trains - numerous staircases up and down and heading for Bercy. Wednesday 27th July We were up reasonably early and breakfasted and off on the Metro at Sentier and went to St Lazare. Here we had to go out of the Metro Station and into Gare St Lazare where we were to meet the guide from Fat Tire Bike Company at 9.45am. Tuesday 26th July EASY DAY!! Well that’s what we had hoped for. Up early and breakfast and off out the door to get the Metro to Notre Dame – to beat the queues.
