I had enough of being cold and not being able to breathe. Ive spent almost a month at altitude greater than 3000 metres and due to my great love of oxygen and warmth, I decided the time was right to get a little sea sand and whatever else might come my way. So now I am in Cartegena, Colombia. This is in the Carribean and it is DAMN HOT! and I love it. This is the Northern hemisphere, so now it is summer rather than Winter which suits me fine too.
Cartagena is an ancient walled port city built to withstand attack from Pirates and the English! It is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. Ill post up some pictures later on, but in the meanwhile google it!
Anyway, what am I doing? Well, Im taking another week of Spanish lessons. Im trying to avoid English, Americans and Australians. The more spanish I am forced to practice, the better. After this week, I plan to go on to the small town on Santa Marta to do some scuba diving. After this, there is a jungle trek to a lost city. I cant imagine how hot this is going to be, I am a pool of sweat most of the time as it is without trekking up and down hills. Apparrently this trek is amazing though. There is also a national park with pristine white beaches and if you look well enough, theres a nudist beach. when in Rome and all that.
Well thats it from me so far, short and sweet. Im back in 3 weeks, so making the most of it. see you soon & look out for more pictures.
