This was an eerie sight. We had to climb to the top of this kind of rock mountain to see it. Once you get to the top to see it, there's this huge puddle almost, with sections of the glacier floating in it. An advertisement for global warming or what. Apparently there's still a lot undergroud, that's why it's still NZ's largest. BUT not so long ago you'd have had to climb to this point to then climb up onto the glacier itself. Strange times.
