Koh Tao was amazing..Pretty much done nothing for 1 month. Sat on a beautiful beach, or played some pool whilst having some drinks, or maybe go for a snorkle in the crystal clear waters... What a hard life eh...Every body rides these little moped bikes..it was good fun riding around the islands dirt tracks,The poor little moped? really struggling up some of the hills with nu and I trying our best to cling on to the thing.. just your flip flops and swimming trunks for protection...So many people had bandages or casts wrapped around them....?Made alot of friends there also. Nearly became one of the locals cos we were there so long.
Well after a really tough time in Koh Tao relaxing on the beach, Nu and I decide to get off our asses and go meet Chloe and Katie in Bangkok...
Boat journey back to mainland reminds us we were not missing much as the sea turns a nasty brown colour and the air gets smelly...The port is packed with fishing boats and the fishermen- who all seem a bit mad -?shouting to you in all sorts of languages ( dunno if they are greeting or swearing at you ) whilst wearing their speedos..
Spend a whole day getting to bangkok.. When we arrive there is a constant hastle from the Tuk-Tuk's and taxi drivers to give em a fare.. Its funny cos you get off one of the tuk-tuk's and immedeatly someone is there begging you to go on theirs.. So much traffic here.. Bikes and cars even drive down the pavement to get to where they are goin..The taxis have bull bars on the front of em. Forget road rules, its organised chaos...
Bangkok has acres of corridors and alleys with market and street stalls lining the way... Get lost so easily. Wander around for ages trying too find your way.
So many flies everywhere too.. Even had some whizz up my nose.. mmm ... Lunch!!!
