Hi, your train journey sounds very different!! Can,t imagine just a hole in the flloor on a moving train for a loo. Went to see mum for highlights last week, really missed you not being there for a chat whilst having hair done. We looked at your message board etc. Bet you are trying loads of exotic dishes and now you can cook them afte going on a thai cookery course. Hope you made loads of notes, a jar of sharwoods cook in sauce will never do ! Off to Blue water with my sister thurs to catch the end of the Jan sales. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the next leg of your journey, lots of love bridget x

Jimmy Cheese hows things then, its a week and i havent heard from you, starting to think youve dumped me for a Thai sort. LOL
Arsenal did pretty well this weekend losing to scummy Everton. Anyway send me a bloody email will you giving me the juicy details of your trip, you know, the type of stuff you dont want people on here to read about. Take care
Michelle
Me again.....
Just to let you know we arrived safely in Chiang Mai. The train journey was not too bad at all apart from the journey lasted 13hrs. The one downside was the loo. You had a choice of a hole in the floor, literally or the smelliest western loo in the world.
We had some characters on the train, lets just say a Thai man who liked to get rid of his wind!!!
Chiang Mai is very nice, very tranquil and pretty. It is very religous and has lots of temples and buddhist schools.
In the next couple of days we are off to a Thai cookery school, that should be good for me, and a 12 hour trek around the 'Golden Triangle' between Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
Will update you after our adventures.

Hi, can't beleive you have been in a tank and swam with sharks!!
That takes real courage those menacing looks and razor sharp teeth being inches away and only separated by a wire cage sends shivers down the spine. We have had sun today despite being freezing cold, so no sitting on beaches here. Hope you see lots on safari and are taking heaps of photos. Take care love Bridget x
