I wanna be like youuuuu
The bus journey to Sandakan was bumpy, but not too long so with a few naps and some reading it went quite quickly.
We arrived late so just went for some food at the only place open, a small Malaysian style restaurant. We had a delicious roti canai and it kept us coming back for more! I think, by the end of our stay we had around 15!
The next day we went for a walk along the sea front and up to the hill in the town. It was a great view from the top and a good way to see the city.
The reason we were here was to visit Sepilok rehabilitation centre for Orangutans. On our next day we took the bus to the centre with a young guy we met at the hostel. The centre is brilliant, very educational and definitely puts the animals first. We were lucky enough to see some baby orangutans coming to collect their fruit and some even younger ones who were still in the care of the centre.
