We always said if the weather wasn't great we'd hit the pedal and whizz South. Rain all day so Clive maps a great route for me. A few hundred miles n we arrive in the rain at St Georges Aire.
Many say avoid Rouen but it's easy to skirt round if you have a good navigator. Try this route one day.
Heading East of Rouen to cross The Seine at Vernon. We pick up The Eure Valley at Pacy-Sur-Eure to Dreux. A great run into lunch then on to Chartres. Orleans via the N154 a great road.
D2020 all the way to Vierzon on The Cher Valley route all the way to St George's Sur Arnon on The River Arnon near Charost. A very quite Aires, just us.
A real bonus today being May/Labour Day Bank Holiday. France was asleep all day so driving was perfect, no traffic just people of the land selling bunches of flowers for the ladies. I didn't get any!
Highlight today. Seeing an Otter swim by at dusk, oh n Clive rescued a fish the fishermen left behind as it had no meat on it. It hit the water and swam with joy!
