After our nightmare journey from Vientiane which took around 30 hours, most of it spent on an overcrowded sleeper bus with 4 people sitting in each bed, we arrived in siem reap at around 1 am. we got a tuk tuk to a hotel which was really nice, luxury compared to some of the places we've stayed in at only $13 a night.
We were all starving so we decided to walk straight to the supermarket where we were offered a baby for $1 and had a little girl grabbing chels cereals as we were leaving. we then began to realise how poor cambodia really is.
Whilst in Siem reap we went to a crocodile farm, which was more like lets see how many crocs we can fit in an enclosure and stick a bridge over the top. not the safest by all means but we fed them some fish and there were some massive crocs to see which was cool.
That Night we went to a cambodian orphanage where we watched the kids do a show that they do every night to try and raise money for the orphanage and they were all brilliant! They did a traditional khmer dance and some other dances that i cant remember the names of. They were all so happy and excited to see us and even as we were leaving they wouldn't let go of our hands. we donated our trainers, som clothes and some money and it was sad to leave. Makes you realise how lucky we all are!
The next day me and mike went and had some happy pizza which was sweeet and we spent the rest of the day chillin out and taking it easy!
It was then time to head once again to bangkok but it wasnt soo bad as the bus was only about 8 hours and we thought we would treat ourselves to a nice hotel as it was our last night in asia. :)
hope all is good back home and love to all xxxxx
P.s sorry for the lateness of my blog but i've only just got the interenet and some time to write it!
