Having come back to England before I jet off on my trip I have had quite an action packed week. As David Burgess said "It's nice that you managed to fit in a little holiday before you jet off!"
Sunday evening Me and some friends went to see "The Bird Man" play in his band at Esquires. Was really impressed and would like to go and see The Swamies again on my return.
Monday and Tuesday were mainly about driving round and saying goodbye to some of my friends before handing back a beautifully cleaned car back to Dave. I think he was a bit shocked!
Wednesday Tor, the kids and I went to Kent to see Liz and have a riding lesson at Willow Farm. Liz's cousin David joined us which was a lovely surprise. By the end of the day we all smelt rather alot and went back to Liz's flat for a takeaway and The Apprentice. Once the kids had gone to bed Liz did my Tarrot cards (turns out I am going to travelling!!) and Tor was secretary (turns out she shouldn't give up her day job). Unfortunately half way through the dog farted which did cause Liz to run from the room to get an Incense Stick, most unprofessional!
We decided we needed some photos but unfortunately Tor and Liz both like to pull the same ridiculous face so it took nearly 2 HOURS!! to get photos which they were happy with.
Thursday has been a fairly lazy day. The only one that has been busy is Liz who has put alot of effort in to whipping Tor's kids up in to a frenzy. We have been in to Gravesend and had an unhealthy but delicious lunch in a cafe (where the only two other customers appeared to be an old man with no teeth his date, a slightly mad looking woman who looked like she was probably being paid to be there still dressed in Saturday nights clothes.....if you know what I mean).
After lunch Tor and I had an emotional farewell. I had forgotten that I still had a couple of people to say goodbye to! Don't think I will bother saying goodbye to Liz, my mascara wont take it.
Feeling fairly relaxed about it all at the moment. Looking forward to tomorrow when the real adventure begins.
