I am in the business lounge at Havana airport. free food and beers - happy days!!! Just got half an hour so wanted to say hi and I will be starting the blog in Mexico.
I am having a great time. The weather is amazing and already met some really nice people. Last night we had a lovely meal - at last but most importantly a beautiful chilean cab sav! Yes my darlings if there is a good bottle of wine out there then I will find it. I am still savouring that beautiful taste as I write.
In Club Cienfuegos we met the lovely Emma. The girls hit Club Cienfuegos and danced the night away with the Cubans. It was magical - a terrace overlooking expensive yachts, mojitos flowing (who did buy them?), salsa and let's not forget Emma's beautiful engagement ring. Well let's face it - if you like then you should put a ring on it!!!! PS sorry Emma we didn't catch up but......
.......we got kicked out of our casa particulares the next day. I kid you not folks!!! Whiter than white me! The guy basically said that if we did not have all our meals there (breakfast and tea) then we should find alternative accomodation. So we did! We left in the heat of the day - they couldn't get us a taxi apparently. Well I prayed for a miracle and got one. The very first taxi that had brought us there 2 days turned up - a beautiful black chevy with a red leather interior. Lets face it, if you are going to be kicked out you should leave in style. We found a new casa which was a haven. It had wonderful people (they gave me a ring made out of a shell), good food (chicken in coca cola - better than it sounds), lots of cats (of course I made friends and one of them even came to sit with me), comfortable bed and a roof terrace overlooking the city. There is alwaysa silver lining.
W are now off to Mexico and arrived at the airport with only 6 CUC. Because we are in the lounge we have free refreshments and guess how much internet is - yes 3CUC for 1/2 an hour. As Pops would say, Jammy by name and Jammy by nature.
Thank you for all the messages. I love you all - prehaps a bit too Gwyneth Paltrow - but I do appreciate it. Thank Jack for cleaning my car. Keep up with the Mraz. I am - I play him loads. I have also rediscovered Daniel Powter which is great for travelling. I am really missing you. Keep the messages up.

Me and the girls are off to have our Venture portrait done this afternoon - really looking forward to it. Second viewing on two houses tomorrow - getting almost exctied about it :)

Things OK here. Josh's funeral was last Friday - was a tough day, but think Jo & Charlie are coping as well as can be expected. I'm still house-hunting and got my mum coming tonight to help out with the girls for the next couple of days.

Jackie, great to hear you are enjoying yourself. Saw Snake Davis last night. I managed to avoid humiliating myself with an ice bucket this time! I did however knock the water jug all over Steph!This was quite upsetting for Glyn as they charge £1 for a jug of table water now at the Sands! Good to hear there are large ladies in tight outfits where you are as I thought I belonged to minority group.Power to the sisterhood!
