Our first stop in Malaysia is the Perhentian Islands. Jetting along on the speed boat you cant help but smile to yourself, the wind is blowing in your face and all you can see is clear blue ocean and a tiny green island ahead. We arrive on a small white beach surrounded by green forest and our first thought is: Paradise. Here for 7 days we can relax without having to think about catching buses. As we check in to our wooden shed we are told that volleyball is at 6 o' clock, sweet. The sea here is the clearest we've seen just like a swimming pool. We play our first voleyball match and meet some of the locals before having a barbeque dinner of Barracuda and shark. The days are spent lazing by the beach in the heat and cooling down in the beautiful water. Everyday is a routine of: breakfast, beach, lunch, beach, volleyball, dinner, and its great. On the island there are many young people which is cool. On our third day we went on a snorkelling trip which was great. We saw sharks, turtles and hundreds of fish including Nemo of course. Our seven days on the island has been awesome and we could easily spend longer here.
KL
From the quiet pristine beaches to the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. We caught our first sleeper train into KL but because of noisy Malaysian kids we didnt get much sleep. We got a room in Chinatown which is brightly lit with chinese characters and signs. We spend most of our time around the nightmarkets looking for bargains. Catching the train we head to the Petronas towers, once the tallest in the world the Petronas towers are the most recognisable symbol of Malaysia. Two identical towers connected by a bridge they make for some great photos. Underneath there is an amazing shopping mall but the shops are a bit out of our price range. A few hours to kill we watch the sneak preview of the new Transformer film which is brilliant. Afterwards we go for some night snaps of the now brightly lit towers, they look even better of a night lighting up the sky.
Our next stop is Singapore
