Hi there Aman, Georgie and Kirsty. Just looked at your pictures of the climb to Mount Kinabalu, they look fab. Gald to hear the Phillipines has lived up to your expectations ( and they wern't very high from what I remember of your comments) The weather here is vile at the moment. Sundeep has been working hard and indy or indie comes home this weekend - i'm wondering whether we will recognise her. Hi there Fiona, hope you are well. Georgie could you possibly forward me the names/details of places you stayed in and would recommend in Jaipur. Pavun is well and learning to tell the time in Panjabi. Nani and Nana have gone to Canada for a month and hope you've been wearing your whistle. Lots of love and hugs, Mum XXXX
Georgie
Hey,
well Aman is right, it is definitely paradise here. Having an awesome time just chilling on the beach , getting massages, sipping mango dacquiris etc. Have to say thanks to Aman for coming with me, its been a great week, and i am definitely sad to leave!
Cheerio
Aman
Losing yourself in Boracay, Philippines's paradise is easy, leaving, on the other hand, is only a shade less than impossible. This magical island possesses a mystique which wraps you entirely in a warm cover of sunshine, blindingly white sand, crystalline waters, tempting foods and beautiful smiling faces *sighs heavenly*. It is definitely a traveller's fantasy of a tropical island. You'll see what I mean once I upload the to-die-for photos on sometime. Here is so the partying fuse, a place for shakers and movers that Georgie and I have hit the local club, Cocomangas three nights in a row *hoots*. KY, I so wish you were here cos I know you would love the whole Bob-Marley-feel to the place. Hope you are keeping yourself busy, especially with the sleepover in the Asrama. Not long now till Vietnam for you eh? Even though it's only been a few days since we've been apart, am missing you heaps. Tight hugs x

Thanks for all your wacky, warm and wonderful messages, feel so loved now, ha! Apart from Hey-mish who likes to consider himself as a freethinking person :p, it is great to know that you are open-minded and unprejudiced towards religious matters. Martine, using your world-wide knowledge, why arent I surprised? *chuckles fondly* Good to know it came in handy. Secretly, bet you cant wait to have those endless discussions with me. We sure do sound like a sad old pair dont we? *snickers* Controversial Indie, where have you been hiding? Nice to know that you are confidently back in the loop after being in a world of your own *shakes head*. Looking forward to see you after hearing so many things about you through others. Bet you are wondering what has been said? :p Bungle aka Sunny, I sure have tasted great cuisines from around the world but trust me, Malay food isnt exactly exotic food and Indian food beats it by miles, Mum would know what I mean by that. Babaji, looks like Ill be joining you for those every now and then walks seeing that its becoming a natural habit of mine these days. Mum, cheers for the whistle, bless your heart! Returning to my festooned room will be like living in a hotel the first couple of weeks. Jessie, lunch meet-ups sure does sounds great although I bet that lunch-hour will be over before we know it, seeing I have plenty to fill you in on my travels *excited chitters*. As Jessie pointed out that I have the Philippines coming up, in fact Im going on Wednesday for a week as the kids have exams and Im not needed. Was a last minute decision with Georgie, booked the ridiciously cheap flights a few days ago, an offer you cant refuse! From what I hear, it seems that the weather back at home is treating you. Hope it isnt too blazing as was actually looking forward to some cool breeze. Enough from my end and eager to hear more from your end. Missing you all heaps. Ciao :) x

Sounds like something new happens everyday, a learning curve definitely for you Aman! Especially about religion and the way different religions work. Not enough people know about different cultures do they? They need to travel to be able to see the way other people treat their religion and how they embrace it.. The issue of religion has been even more so of a big issue since September 11th. Everyone is unique, we all believe in different things, and that is something that should be respected no matter what. It's people that go to the extremes, (killing others) that ruin it for other followers, but then again society shouldn't label a whole religious group as being the same because of one individual who is trying to hurt others.. When i was in London recently, it really made me realise that we are truly a multi-cultural country and that adds something special to the UK for me..
The Phillippines and Thailand next for you, :-) Was supposed to visit the Phillippines last year on my Asia travels but we didn't have the chance to get round to it, so you'll have to tell me all about it and I'll feel as if i've been there myself!! :-p
Cannot wait until you're back, feels so long since i saw your bubbly personality around the place. We'll ave to meet up in my lunch break as I'm not going to be far away from you while I'm on placement in good ol' Birmiiiiiinghaaaaaaaam this summer!! Woo!! Look fwd to your return (the kids will be losing a great person who's done so much for them this year), enjoy your last two months there, not long left now!!
Jessica

Well I am glad to see that both my girls have developed broad and analytical minds when it come to world religions and communities ( even my former daughter Indie). It has just dawned on me that perhaps the best way to communicate with her might be through an in U.K website. I guess she won't be able to cut the phone off that way anyway. I received a transcript of some interviews from her which i had to give in at work and whilst she may be very respectful of muslims clear 'blond women and fat blokes' don't have the same positon (don't worry she'll know what I mean). the climb up the mountain souds torturous so well done. Don't forget to wear the safety whistle in Thailand and we are about to sort your room out for your arrival back. Love you , mum XXXX
Kirsty

Long Lost Martine! :)
Hello! Wow, leave the site for a month, you have lots to catch up on! It was great MH did a non-uniform days, great to know they are willing to support ex-pupils on their GAP vocations. I see some people have got "hot under the collar" about religion! *chuckles* it's pretty clear that everywhere in the world, societies have different moral standards, different religions, different economies, different organisations... but you already know that! but we're lucky in our western culture, because we are educated better than some of the poorer regions, and are probably a bit more "understanding and adaptable" than other societies who will never adapt to other rules. I guess... just be lucky you were born in the UK, and we have the freedom and equality to go out and explore the world and see the other cultures out there; as some will never get the same opportunity as us. I mean... women in the UK were only allowed to vote just over 80 years ago... and before that, for the last 1000 years we didnt have the same rights as men! Which brings me back to my point; we are educated well enough to know about "rights" and "fairness" and "equality" :) Plus I think with us being deaf, we are a lot more understanding about being "different" *chuckles* I love it! OK, me will shut up! Looking at the photos, I had to laugh heartily at one of them, the emotional canteen staff at the deaf camp Aman! What, they started crying their heads off and you barged in going "photo! photo! come on, move! photo!" lol :) hadn't realised I suggested those animal names either on the postcard I read about the Deaf Camp!? Glad they worked though! It brought back memories of Tirabad, didn't we love it there! I did! :D Those kids seem to really dote on you Aman, your mum's message says it all, I just feel so sad you're not here in the UK seeing you every so often, but it's clear that societies out there need people like you :D It makes me very happy knowing that for one sad person... there's about 100 people you're making happy!! haha! Just don't take pictures of them sobbing their heads off when you leave!! (note to Kirsty; take a picture of Aman crying... and post it on here!!! hehe) much hugs babe, miss yer bobbling head and whit whit whit! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
