I will hunt down that man on the motorbike in Malaysia, and I will not stop until the toerag is in jail... OK, I know I'm on the other side of the world, but heck, my mind powers will be out there to hunt him down! He's probably quivering right now... Jokes aside, glad to see you're OK Aman, you're pretty light anyway so I'm surprised you weren't taken down the road with hanging onto a piece of string!!! ;) *tilts head back, chuckles* There will be some deaf pupils in your class right? Should be a laugh trying to teach them to go *barty barty barty* , *exshhhoo me!* *what what what?* hehe! :) Again, glad you're OK. At least you didnt put yourself into freezing oceans like Kaff... what do you get off on?!!? hehe! xx

A drama happened today, my bag got snatched!!! Was walking along the edge of the pavement with 3 other GAP students to go for a meal. The whole thing was a blur as it happened so fast. I was talking to Amy, an Irish GAP student and in no time, my body swang from one side to another till I realised the expert snatcher on his motorbike with a helmet ripped the sideways bag using a sharp small knife leaving behind the strap. Lets just say it could have been a lot worse like I could have been physically injured if I was dragged along the road with the motorbike if the bag strap was strongly attatched to the bag. THANKFULLY, I had the brains to leave my passport behind which is needed for work visa in Malaysia Borneo. Ahh well, these things happen and I'm not physically hurt, just shocked! Filed a police report straightaway and now I've got 101 things to do with the insurance etc. Was wondering when a bad experience would occur and unfortunately it happened in the country I'm staying in! Looking on the bright side of things, it is going great here! Feels funny learning all over again. Learnt a bit of Japanese today as this woman came into our lesson, spoke rapid Japanese till we realised the purpose of that was to feel what the kids will feel once they have us teaching them. Picked up some of Bahasa Melay. The Malays are certainly straightforward and little things we do, such as the tone of our voice can offend them easily. Teaching the orphanage kids battleships tomorrow *nervous chuckle*, feels like I've got an exam tomorrow. A lot of the gappers have confidently asked me a thousand questions about travelling seeing that they are all (about 40 Australian and British gappers) are travelling afterwards. Anyway, best be off as beauty sleep awaits! Missing you all x

Just a wee message to say 'Happy New Year'! Hope you guys had a very merry christmas, and are still having a top craic wherever you are now...just back from a few days in donegal (in the west of ireland), jumped in the sea and had a wee swim on new year's day...think it's safe to say that the atlantic is definitely not as warm as the indian ocean!! Loving the pics, and the messages...hope there'll be lots more to come to keep us entertained over the exam period! Andre, think the 'sans beard' look is suiting you much better than the whole 'castaway' getup!....Have a grand 2006! Kath xox

Happy New Year
You are certainly making the most of your trip, not that I am in anyway jealous you understand, on the contrary, I really look forward to scraping the ice off my car in the mornings.
I'm Glad to see that Andre is making good use of his photographic skills, although the images will only be a pale reminder of the experiences you will carry with you for the rest of your lives. I have signed you all up to visit AA when you return, it seems that you feel it's absolutely necessary to drink dry each country you visit, and why not.
Congratulations on the trip so far and I look forward to following the rest of it, Well Done.
Keep safe, Best wishes

Happy New Year! Thanks for your messages. Spent my night in a luxury hotel, heaven! *swoons* At 00.00, stood and admired the birds eye view of Petronas twin towers with fireworks everywhere, celebrated in true style. Hitted the local RnB club till the early hours of morning. Great seeing Chris, been so long! Heading to Penang soon to meet the Malaysia Gappers and to start the Teaching English in a Foreign Language (TEFL) course, meaning have to pick up some Malay language *nervous chuckle*. Finally settling down here, will be my home here for the next 6 months (if I can make it). Scary but at the same time, exciting!
Start my placement in Malaysia Borneo around mid-January with Kirsty Duncan, from Scotland. Missing you all back at home. Hugs x x
