The pic is the view from our appartment overlooking the river. We've done the tourist tuk journey around the city with our new best friend Miguel. It's small for a capital city but lots to see. The cathedral which is one minute from our appartment is very modest compared with lots of the Spanish churches. The market is very good with lots of places to eat and a cookery school as past of it. This doesn't really count as a day on the Camino as we have a couple of days is Lisbon before we start walking. But just to show we are serious about this, our first stop was the cathedral to pick up our Credencial del Peregrino. This is the passport which we will get stamped at our stops on the way. Just checking that I can still remember how to load an upside down photo. We set off tomorrow and the weather forecast for Lisbon is looking wet. I will hope to post something every day. I've already discovered that although Portguese looks like Spanish, it certainly doesn't sound like it. Roger says he has an app but I'm not sure he knows what that means. Wish us luck.
