Hong kong 26th-28th November 2009!!! This place has really been an experience...we had our own tv screens on the jounrey over which was awesome, the food was also good especially as we got a mars bar icecream! We were sitting next to a cool Chinese guy on the plane who was helpful going close to where we were staying so we took the same bus he even took us to our hotel! Yesterday we had a phone call as well from him, even though we hadn't e
Given him our number he had called the hotel. T
He said he missed us and he hoped we had a good trip, we already have an admirer!
We had bad jet lag and so had a nap then we went out and about in the local area, going to the ladies Market, we only brought one thing each. Then we sampled the local cuisine, we actually tried frog, tasted like chicken but a bit more rubbery. Also it looked horrible.
Yesterday we went to the victoria peak taking the starferry across the channel. Then a bus to the tram which was only 40p! The views were amazing and it was hot we were in t shirts! Then we took a bus to a local fishing village, not a village to you and I as it was about the size of Perth! We. Walked round for a bit then took the bus back as we didn't want to miss the last ferry at 8. After crossing we chanced apon the lights show from Kowloon looking at hong kong island, grabbing a snack at good old starbucks. We then got the taxi back to our hotel.
Hong kong is so busy, there are lots and lots of people and bad drivers! We got looked at lots by scary Chinese men, we felt abit like (mrs rowan) aliens! We will be glad to get back to a culture similar to the uk 's.
