So today we went the Grand Palace in Bangkok. We took a bus there so we got the chance to see the city a little bit & as we got off the bus a man said to us that the grand palace was closed
Because of the kings birthday. Be aware of any scams like this. The palace was open but what they do is, they tell you they know someone with a car that can take you to a different temple & that it will be cheap. What they do instead is, they take you to one of their market stalls & don't let you go without actually buying something. So of course we didn't believe the man. We just went inside. You have to borrow some trousers if legs are too revealed or a shirt to cover up naked shoulders. So i had a silly shirt on to match with my yellow flowery dress. Fashion was dead. As soon as you go inside its very bright & beautiful but after a while it gets very repetitive. So everything just looks the same. Its crazy how much work goes into their detailed temples. So many little mirrors & glasses... & they all shine, its like someone polishes them 24/7. Trust me, that would be impossible :) Now we are back at the hostel. Just chilling for a bit before we get on the night train to Chang Mai. This train will travel for 14 hours & we will arrive tomorrow at 10am. We have a hostel booked in Chang Mai for 2 nights. We might stay a 3rd night but we shall see. After that we will start taking a bus to head back south to the beaches.
