Well, we've had an absolutley jam packed few days in india!! a non-stop tour of delhi was followed by a 6am start the next morning to leave for agra. It was so interesting driving throught the little towns and seeing how people in india really live and let me tell you, you really have to see it to believe it!! there are cows all over the place and dogs and pigs and donkeys and horses just wonderingn the streets...and goats....loads of goats!! and they do not care about the traffic at all....people get out of the way of the animals and not the other way around!! there are also loads of camels on the side of the road, pulling carts or carrying people around!! anyway....we arrived in agra after a 4hr drive, and went to see the taj mahal.....its amazing!! so detailed and huge and absolutley pristine white which is so suprising when you sonsider the amount of rubbish and muck u see on every street!! we had an annoying tour guide who couldnt speak very good english and who expected a hefty tip....awkward situation. everyone here want tipping for everything. seriously we have spent most our money on tips cause if u dont tip they get VERY stroppy with u....so its just easier to do it!! we have such a nice driver and he is so protective of us!! he told us to tell anyone that asks that we are from canada not england...he said it is not safe to say we are english which is a little scary!! and he is also really helpful at helping us get rid if people.....today he told us to tell the people trying to be our guide around fatephur sikri (which is an amazing abadoned city) that we worked for the embassy in delhi and that we lived in india so they would leave us alone!! its really frustrating that u have to be so rude to people here just to get a moments peace and u feel as tho u can trust no one, they always want money from u, for the smallest thing like telling u where the toilets are!!! Whe we we're at the forbidden city, about 10 indian girls came up and asked for a photo with us whihch they took on a proper old school camera, then wen fiona got her camera out 2 take a pucture of them they went nuts and kept trying to grab it off her....they we're really harmless but amazed u cud see the photo seconds after taking it!! then they kept taking out sunglasses and posing in them as they just dont have them here! we had a 7hr drive today, through the proper indian countryside, the roads were very bumpy!! we saw the poorest villages and couldnt believe that people cud survive in the conditions they were in, i think the part i have enjoyed most so much, even though all the tourist attractions are amazing is just driving thru these villages and seeing the real india!! all the kids in the villages get so excited to see a car coming through and come running out to see u and wave to u!! tomorrow we are up early again and going on a tiger safari, altho the chances of seeing a tiger are slim to none as only 6 left in the whole nature park due to poaching which is very sad. Then we're heading out into the desert, going on a camel safari and spending a night out in the desert which i think will b very cold!!! as soon as the sun goes here the temperature plummets!! will le u no how it all goes and of we see any tigers or not!!!
