Day Twenty Two
Before I start on today's activities, I have to mention last night's dinner. Il Matto is one of the city's leading restaurants, and it didn't disappoint. It wasn't cheap but the food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed it, but had to laugh when we asked the waitress did they have an English version of the Italian menu. Her reply was a curt "No!" but she would be happy to translate if we got stuck. We stumbled through it OK but got stuck on a dessert item. She was impressed at our efforts.
We bought tickets for a bus tour of the city and to Montmorency Falls. We had seen many of the points when walking but it was interesting to see what life looked like in the suburbs. We found the answer to our question why the streets look so clean. Every night the city sends out the street sweepers to remove the crap deposited by the horse carts which carry the tourists around.
Montmorency Falls are a mini-Niagra Falls and we had a bit of time to sit and watch them before heading back. Nothing brilliant but it filled in some time.
Had a pre-dinner drink at the hotel before having dinner at the pizza place we went to before.
Tomorrow we fly to Vancouver.
