Greetings,
Just had a quick look at the latest pics. Was hard work deciding which was the elephant that Holly was washing! Finally came to the conclusion it was the one with the big trunk!
Glad that it's all going well still. See you soon in Raffles! Not that we are counting down the days.
Cheers

Hey Hol and Pete, we are off on our travels we are having a gap week in Dartmouth to see if we like travelling lol,we may surf up the river Dart, ride with the Mackeral, gosh they are fast dunno if we can keep up with them, then we may take on the sea gulls, they carry a warning. Hope you two are enjoying the sights smells and views, they are your memories when you get back home in January, enjoy all the moments and be safe, love you both soooooooooooo much xxx

Hi Pete and Hol, Sitting here on a chilly.dark ,verging on autumn, evening, thoroughly enjoying your photos. Chiang rai looks beautifull but all the photos are impressive. Thanks for your postcards texts and photos of Petes thai haircut! Must get some garden shears and cut the grass to see if there is an alfa romeo car out there somewhere! But then there was reports of one floating in the water at the cross roads down the back lanes on one of the many wet days we've had. Best check!! Have a great time. Lots of love, Helen x

Greetings from UK,
Just got email back from Thailand about the horse! It is getting better. They have advised the tour company that when "Large Farangs" want horses, elephants MUST be provided.
Glad that it is going well. You are now in Phuket. There are several good trips that I think you will enjoy. One is to Phang Nga or James Bond Island. This is reached by long-tailed boats. Try to sit at the front of the boat as they tend to put up spray deflectors along the side of the boat. This stops you getting wet and taking pics. It should stop at the stilted village which is built over the river/estuary. The meals here are mainly fish. Exceeding fresh, tasty and well priced. The back part of the village has market type of shops. Haggling is a must.
There is a 3 island snorkling trip which you might enjoy. The price can be haggled down a bit from the advertised price, but don't offer a stupid price. You WILL be told where to go! The boat stops at two beautiful islands where within 20 foot of the beach you can see beautiful coloured fish. They like nibbling at bodily hair! The third place it stops is mid water, but beware, the current is very strong indeed. They don't tell you this.
Enjoy, Not long to the meeting at Raffles.
