Hello, (photo of dover lol)
Sofia is a nice city. However, I've been here a day and it's rained and Im tired so my view of it has been coloured slightly.
Its not exactly the greatest in terms of architecture or gorgeous wide open spaces, but somehow it does still have a really nice character that makes me think I could probably stay here a bit longer than I am! However, important considerations-weather is of british standards and the food appears to be almost scottish in its inedibility. shame.
Most interesting thing on the trip so far however did happen on the train ride here. Was on the train with two slovakian backpackers (who'd been living in glasgow and therefore spoke perfect english in a slightly scottish/eastern european accent-weird) and these two random bulgarians on there way home from serbia (who didn't speak any english). We get to the border, and the serbian customs officials come on, and start walking up and down the train asking for cigarettes. Weird to start off with. Then, after about 3 sets of officials have asked, they start searching the bulgarian's bags (ignoring us). One of them even had a big tub of washing powder which was opened and rummaged around a bit. Then they stop,
