ME
Hi Guys,
Cheers for the messages they are great and make me less homesick, although Steve am not impressed with your food discription, although I have never had fish pie so I suppose I dont really know what I am missing except a really nice home cooked meal in which your host does sit at the table and stare at you whilst you are eating and then question why you havent finished the slimy chicken! Oh and I might just have to give your presents to Tarzan if I meet him!
Yesterday she gave spenser a lecture on how good tomatoes where and then said but of course helen doesnt eat them! And I wasnt even there! Plus we had a bazzar conversation about boob jobs and she even used props!! Quite amusing in spanish!
Although dinner isnt getting better, we had pasta last night with a bright green sauce on top (dont know what it was) and chopped raddishes on the side. Lunch today has been some sort of soup and pasta again with slimy chicken in a brown sauce unidentifiable. However, I have been a bit sick the last couple of days so not been able to eat it all! Yay! But she has been bringing me some sort of herbal tea to sort my stomach. One consolation is that there is a mall here that serves every fast food under the sun and it is our mission to have it for dinner once a week.
Spenser has resorted to having a plastic bag up her sleive and when Ana Maria leaves the table putting the food in it and throwing it away later, it is really quite amusing.
Spenser leaves tomorrow so I am praying I will get another person in my house this weekend!
Linda & Steve
Hi Helen
Have you heard the news, Peter has been short listed to wear a sheeps head on tele!!!That will suit him he is always bleating on.Just wanted to let you know Lin is making a fish pie for tea, Salmon, smoked haddock, line caught cod and juicy king prawns, with broccoli, asparagus and local organic potato mash topping YUM YUM.Mind you it does not sound as appealing as the local gormet cuisine that your 3 star Michelin Eqaudorial host is rustling up.
You appear to be having one hell of an experience Helen. Wish I'd have done it when I was your age. Have a great time in the Rainforest, never know your luck, you may even find a M accy D's in there! Take care of yourself. Love Linda and Steve. xxx

Leigh In His Underwear
Hey you,
Well I finally had my final deadline last night, so it's all over thank god. Had to draft in Niki to help me ink a couple pages but it got done.
My month off starts today!!!! So I'm spending the day walking around in my underwear, reading comics and watching dvds. I'm hoping Rees still has a spare ticket for Def Leppard tonight in Liverpool--though that would mean I'd have to put clothes on, and that would ruin the flow of my day.
Those latest pics are fantastic--those are the type of pics you imagine when you think of "around the world trip"!
Really made up you're doin it!
And that guy Justin looks like Gareth Gates.

Jen Jones
Your pics are really giving me the travel bug. I can feel a retirement travel plan coming on ... but I'd do it under the guise of having to visit every soil in the world!!
You are doing so brilliantly, Hel. I go all goose-bumpy with pride when I see what you've achieved. And I shall remind FHN that his advice re peeing on rocks did not go unheeded. Tee hee! But what's this about cabbage soup? That Vicki person can't half ramble!
I start my hols in 10 days. I shall follow in your footsteps and make forays to ... Woolton village .... the Pier Head or EVEN the Wirral!!!! Ginny in cold damp Halewood, I'm up the road in glorious (not!) posh Hunts Cross!! Hey: we've got flower tubs up at the junction. The girl in the paper shop thought that she'd got off the bus in Woolton.
Take care, Hel. Lots of thoughts for you.
