Day 2: 12 May 16 - Moonie to St. George, 190km, fine & sunny 6 - 22deg It was a real shock to the system when we got up this morning, it was 6deg; made worse by the fact that we hadn't experienced any cool weather back home. I wouldn't have missed this trip for quids, it was great. I consider myself reasonably fit, for a 65 year old, nevertheless I found it tough in places. The combination of the rough roads, the distances involved and the heat/humidity really made for a hard ride some days. I would certainly recommend to anyone doing this ride; take your own saddle as the constant pounding can play havoc with the bottom. I can't say enough good things about the drivers in Myanmar, ...

It's always so nice to be home, regardless of how good the trip was. Getting home was a bit of a marathon thanks to Qantas. It just seems that every time we fly with them lately there's always a drama, particularly when it involves the Airbus A380. Some points from the tour: 1.
