Day 55 Mon 4 Jul Burra to Mildura 336km, 6 to 12deg cloudy with showers throughout the day. Not sorry we're leaving Burra, although it's a great place, but this morning it started to drizzle as we were packing up. That continued for the first hour or so of the trip, then just cloudy till Mildura where there was more drizzle. Day 54 Sun 3 Jul 16, Port Pirie SA to Burra SA 121km, sunny early turning cloudy, 3 to 13deg (feels like 8). Woke to an Election hangover and possible hung parliament; that's all the country needs!! But a lovely sunny morning nevertheless, so we'll get on with our journey home and let the pollies sort out the other mess. Day 53, Sat 2 Jul 16, (election day) Ceduna to Port Pirie, 559km, cloudy, 8 to 17 deg. Not a great deal to keep us in Ceduna, and with showers forecast we decided to continue our push East. Got away at 7:20am just in time to see a nice sunrise. Pulled into Wudinna for a treat from the bakery and a cuppa in the van. Day 52 Fri 1 Jul 16, Madura to Ceduna, 673km, fine and sunny 4 to 18 deg. We continue our trek across the Nullarbor! Up early for a 6:45am departure; another glorious morning, crisp and clear. However that didn't last long as an hour or so later we were driving in drizzle; it has rained every time we've crossed the Nullarbor - twice. It's supposed to be a desert!
