OMG everyone - I did a sky dive today!!

We travelled down from Brisbane to Byron Bay (think bournemouth only nicer with sun!) where we are stopped in a plush caravan park (in shalets) and needing a bit of adrenaline I did my sky dive today!

Was so scared. Got into the plane and took 20mins to climb to 14,000 feet, the highest you can skydive in Aus. Absolutely shat myself as I dangled my legs over the plane and was thrown out of it as a tandem.

I could not look, so had my eyes shut for most of the 60 second freefall. When I eventually plucked up the courage to look I was met with a mixture of sea and beach and amazing mountain landscape, which stretch from Melbourne up to Byron Bay.

It was amazing when the parachute opened as you feel like you are flying. I had calmed down by then and was able to take in the amazing scenery.

However was over and down with within 5 mins and landed safely. I opted for the full DVD and photo package so god knows what the pics look like... however I have seen the DVD and we all in the group pissed oyselves laughing. The look on my face is hilarious. Mainly as I truley look s***-scared, but also never realised just how much face fat one has - lol.

If I can afford it I am gonna try and do it in New Zealand and hopefully look a bit happier in the pics and dvd!

I am so proud of myself for doing it tho - definately a high point of the trip.

Toe still manky but hopefully will get an op done when I get to Melbourne on Monday. I am having a day of rest tomoz, however there are amazing shops here and then there is the gorgeous pacific ocean to go and sit next to on the most amazing beach. Can't believe it all ends in Sydney on Friday :-(
