Set the alarm for 7.30am had a shower then picked up SAm. Drove to freshwater station to get the train on the Kuranda scenic railway. Took just over an hour to take a trip up through the rainforest. Had a boat trip then lunch. Went on the sky rail back down. It was lovely such amazing views took lots of photos. Learnt that the trees in the rain forests grow to the same height each to reach the sun light then stop and spread . Also learnt that there are tree kanga...

Got up drove to cairns took around an hour. Found a restaurant on the waterfront called water bar and grill for lunch. Noticed an outdoor swimming pool will bring Sam here. Headed back towards Port Douglas stopped for a drink at Holloway’s beach. The sea is looking really mucky today also noticed how the roads are quiet. Had a drink at the hotel with Sam then went into town for dinner. Came back just before 10pm another drink with Sam then bed.

Got up early hired a car it was pouring with rain. Picked up Sam Paul and Danielle went to Hartleys Crocodile adventure. Saw lots of crocodiles drove down to palm cove for lunch. Managed to dodge the rain as it poured again. Can’t believe how many crocodiles there are around. Kept waking up in the night got bitten a few time by mosquito yuk. Fell asleep then woke around 10am had a coffee in our room then I went to the gym. 20 minuets run on the treadmill. Got back showered and headed into town. Had brunch I had BLT and Carl Caesar salad. Had a wander around the market. It was really hot 30 degrees stopped for a couple of drinks I had fizzy water and Carl had beer. Walked back to the hotel along the beach as it got cloudy. Trying to sm...

Got up around 10am had a walk along the beach to town. Met Sam for brunch at monkey joes. He had done his cleaning job at the hostel which gives him free accommodation then had a swim, he met us on his skate board, looking like a real local. We had a wander around the town and did a bit of shopping. Had a couple of beers then got a bus back to the hotel. Saw Sam who started work in the bar at 4 made us a cocktail.
