Hey mum and kirsty! great to hear from you! we had a great christmas and new year here in christchurch, the cathedral square was excellent at new year - loads of fireworks and bands. missed everyone back home though (and the turkey dinners!!). spending our last few moments now in new zealand before we fly to Melbourne this afternoon. looking forward to Oz but wil miss NZ alot as we've become quite attached to the place! Missing everyone loads, hope all is ok and that you had a great xmas / new year. i'll email / call when we get to Oz love you loads, take care Aaron and Helen xx

hello you two, let me be the first to wish you both a very happy new year, Well christmas came and went, lots of pressies and loads of chocolate yummie. Its raining again here so thats nothing new. It was so good to talk to you both on the phone, although you are so far away you could be in the next room. As soon as you get a bit settled let me have your address, I will send you a food parcel, I've got some left over turkey, and mince pies!!! no seriously I'll send a few surprises as you did miss out on presents. Just got on line after a few days in the middle of no-where! eah we've been a bit naughty and done some dangerous stuff but that's what they do out here, the Kiwis are nuts so you just have to get involved! It's all pretty safe though (we hope!!).
We're in a little place called Te Anau now which is basically a small town next to one hell of a lake surrounded by snow capped mountains - another stunning location and our photos dont really do it justice. Got a few days here before we take a day trip up to Milford Sound (have a search on the internet for this one as you'll see what all the fuss is about - it's gorgeous!). Then after that we're on our way to Christchurch to settle for a bit for Xmas and New Year, be nice to unpack our bags and put our feet up for a while...
I'll put some more details and piccies on here soon, as soon as we're at a place that's got cheap internet and a decent connection speed!
Hope all's ok in rainy wales, hope you didn't get blown away by any of the tornados or hurricanes! Sounds like some freaky weather back home.

hello again, i'e just been looking at your pictures, the glaceirs and black water rafting fantastic, everything looks so wonderfull, but certainly not dry and warm. This travel journal is so cool, " could you really see your old house in milton keynes when you were sky diving"? You never did listen to me when i told you not to do any dangerous stuff, "tut-tut" you kids are all the same; as soon as your mums turn their backs your up there jumping out of bloody airoplanes, just behave yourselves please. love you loads godbless

We're having a great time thanks, been away from civilisation the last few days so didn't get a chance to read your message. We're in the South Island at the moment at the Franz Josef glacier, I'm off on a full day hike up the glacier tomorrow so I'm sure i'll be pretty knackered!! Helen's taking the Helicopter up there.
I'll post another message soon as our money's running out!!
