Hello everyone.....
So we have now crossed the border into Cambodia. Its a real eye opener, basically an unpolished version of Thailand, a lot more rustic, lots of rubbish and there building sites probably don't comply with international standards!! The people are lovely, very friendly, however we are starting to feel a little like walking dollar signs. We somehow seem to get charged a little more than we think we should....hmmmmm. We got a bit scammed at the border by some guys who pretended to work there and charged us more for the visa than it should have been. It happens a lot here, so we are on guard, but to be honest there is not a lot you can do, you just have to lump it! The poverty is much more evident here, there are people begging everywhere, especially children, its very sad to see. However the place itself has a great vibe considering the tragic history. We will be visting the killing fields in a few days. We are currently in a place called Sihanouk ville, a little tourist hub (unfortunately), its on the coast with a horribly busy beach, but with a little searching there are some nicer quiter beaches around. We hired bicycles again today and went for a tour of the coast, lots of hard work in the heat. We are heading to Phnom Penh (capital) on the 2nd for Chinese new year, can't wait!
I have uploaded some Thailand photos onto Flickr as i can't work it out here, If you go to http://www.flickr.com/people/58944002@N06/?search=Heinz_pie and click on photo stream you should be able to have look through
Hope everyone is well. Love to everyone xxxxxxxxxxx
