Abscess
This IDU is a client of either SAHARA or the other NGO, obvious since he has a gauze dressing covering the abscess on his arm. Many of the drug users get the large, open wounds from bacteria infecting the site of frequent injection and from one of the drugs they inject, a substance which actually spreads through the surface skin and kills it. Sometimes these wounds get so big and so infected that the flies which live in large numbers here actually have a chance to breed maggots in the wounds. The SAHARA people talked about how frequently they get new clients with maggots in their abscesses, but unfortunately I never got to see one.
