Hey guys! So the day trip to Florence was a complete success! After getting onto a bus that took us out of Florence we managed to catch a cab back for a fair amount (only 12EU) and make it into see the statue of David. It was astonishing!!! i just couldnt believe it!!! We clearly werent supposed to take pictures (there was a sign...that i took a picture of... and a lady yelling "NO PHOTO" at everyone with a camera in sight) but we managed to sneakily take some really great shots. it was completely worth all the trouble it took to get there for sure! And once we were done in the museum we walked around the city which was so cute. I think i liked it better than Pisa, but not by much. It still had that same "Italy" feel but was a bit busier... BUT Certainly not as busy as rome... it was just right! =) we were a little bummed we had to go back to Rome but we think and have been told by EVERYONE that the Vatican and St. Petes Bascillica is completely worth it. So tomorrow (or today as it is well past midnight here) we will head of to do those things then the tour of the colloseum then off to our last stop in Italy - Venice. I cant wait for that. I have heard some mixed reviews from different people so hopefully i am not as dissapointed as i have been with rome and "italian" food in general.
Well, i am completely beat... the train we got on back to Rome was the free train... but it was also the 4 hour train... which we werent aware of so we just made it back from Florence and are a bit delerious. But i wanted to let everyone know what was up and that things are well and we are FINALLY on our way out of Rome.. thank god! =)
Love everyone and i will talk to you soon!!!
Oh and by the way... pictures on this computer are a no go... its not recognizing the camera input into the system and i dont have any more patience with it... hopefully i will be able to load them before i get home though! =(
Miss and love everyone and keep those messages and emails coming... it helps to know people are "with" me when i really start to miss home...
xoxo,
Chanelle
