hiya! He he, that's funny that you are staying at the purple cow - Matt and i couldnt get into that hostel as it was fully booked, we had to go miles out of wanaka and ended up out in the sticks somewhere.
Hope everything is going okay, it will take a few weeks to get used to everything out there, but i'm sure things will fall into place. If you think you may have a week or so free why not book yourself on a trip (like what simon did), it's a great way to meet loads of people and no worries about booking hostels etc...The tourist infomation in Wanaka were really nice and helpful when Matt and me were there and they may have a last minute bargain trip for you to jump on...you never know! 'Connections' are very good the 'kiwi experience bus' looks like good fun too.
Me and Matt are in Cambridge this weekend, heading back to Oxford in the morning - it's pouring with rain, we really want to be in NZ!! Anyways, you take care and speak soon.
Have fun!!

Hi Chick, You will find it hard for a while, I think it does when you havan't got family, friends and familiar lings around you. The weather here has been foul. I took peggs for a walk this morning and my hands where going blue with the cold. I took peggy to be clipped this afternoon at a new place, it is a lady who has transformed her garage into a pooch parlour. Well she did a very good job, peggy was clipped, bathed and blowed dryed. When I went to pick her up she smelt lovely, and had a red ribbon tied into a bow on her collar. What is this hotel like, sounds funky, 'purple cow' hostel. Have you talked with Dan about the guiding, is it not as busy as he thought it might be? What is Wanaka like, is the cycling good and have you been eating enough. What is their local food like? Take care chick, will talk again soon. mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
