Jaime- Jaime is around 4 months old and arrived at CONIN at the end of December, so he has been there for about 3 months. In Chile babies are tested for drugs at birth and if they come back positive the government usually takes them and places them in centers such as CONIN or with relatives. The government tries to help the parents get into rehab, but that is hard to come by here as there are nearly no resources available. This is how Jaime came to be at CONIN. Because his mom was a cocaine user, he has slower development and difficulty with moving his head and hands. He has trouble grasping on to toys and moving his head from side to side. He is the most content baby ever! He is always smiling and hardly ever cries, only when he is hungry.
