I'm off for 9 days of camping and cycling. Kind of cloudy today but not much rain and it's warm. Car is all packed and I'm getting my Starbucks latte for the road!

Day 1 Arrived around 2:30 this afternoon. Set up my tent with lots of memories of last summer. I This is all so familiar. We are a group of 27, more women than men. Is that because as we get older the men seem to disappear? It's a lovely group of people. I'm on a cook team of 4 and we'll be cooking on Day 3 which means that the rest of the trip I don't have to worry about cooking and can totally relax and enjoy the ride!

On August 31 I start a 9 day cycle tour with the Cross Canada Cycle Touring Society. This is my first trip with this group. I am looking forward to seeing how it all works and to meeting other avid cyclists in my age cohort. This is a leisurely tour through the south Okanagon, up to the Kamloops area, back down through Merrit and return to Princeton. Much to see and do along the way. We will be camping! Hooray, I love camping almost as much as cycling! Right no...
