A good night sleep left us refreshed for the day ahead. A light breakfasts with our hosts & we set off over the Takaka Hill, stopping for a photo, on our way to Nelson.
We decided to do our daily walk straight away when we arrived. Today's walk was in fact a climb up a mountain. As Alan described as climbing in the cheviots, it was the toughest physical challenge we have undertook. Thankfully we had the sun beating down upon us, & the views from the top were fantastic. Clearly after all this exceeded we needed to relax. Sands bar was our stopping point for lunch. We sat outside in the sun overlooking the beach. Trying to keep to this holiday feel we walked into Nelson after checking in. After picking up two Crusaders rugby shirts we sat in the sun having a few beers.
Following a rest back at the hostel we headed out for one of the nearby restaurants overlooking the bay.
The meal & wine was fantastic sitting on a jetty out in the bay.
Today has felt like a holiday once again, which has benefitted us both.
