So the bus from 4000 Island and Pakse to Hue wasn't the most pleasant. It was supposed to take 24 hours, in the end it took 35 cause our bus broke down. Well, good way to make friends with the others when you're all stuck in the middle of nowhere together. When we finally arrived, the bus dropped us off 15km away from Hue (wtf right?) and we had to take a minibus to reach. Such a frustrating trip but when we finally arrived we were all real happy and ended up having a really fun night together:)
I changed my plans about Vietnam. I was gonna go to the south, then Cambodia, then the north of Vietnam. But I met these 3 Israeli guys who were going to Hanoi to buy motorbikes and then do a roadtrip all the way south. That's excactly the kind of thing I've been craving to do, I can't do it alone, and I really get along well with the guys so I decided to take upon the offer to join:) Gotta get a Vietnamese visa, then!
We spent 2 nights in Hue, quite a nice city, beautiful old capital area. then we took a sleeper-bus to Hanoi, which was surprisingly painful even for me (everyone always makes fun of my unbelievably good sleeping skills). Here we've been looking around for bikes, seeing ourselves around a bit. There are sooo many streetsellers around Vietnam, quite pushy ones too. And of course there's a crazy amount of motorbikes around here like everywhere else, but for some reason their constant honking feels more annoying here. Can't wait to get out of the city!
We're (me, Amos, Yoan and Daniel) are taking a sleeper-bus north to Sapa tonight since we gotta wait a few days for the bikes to get prepared. Then we'll hit the road!
