Arrived in Taupo in the afternoon, it seemed a lot more lively here and our hostel was really nice, bumped into Sandra again and Sarah was on our bus and a few other people we knew which was good.
That evening there was a BBQ at the hostel so we had that and a few drinks there then moved to the Irish bar down the road then onto the club next door, had a funny night.
The following day me and Kat decided to go for a walk to the Huka Falls which we had heard was really nice. We woke up and the sun was shinning again!! We walked for about 45mins untill we reached the bungy site we watched that for a bit then carried on for another 30 mins when we arrived at the natural hot springs. We chilled out there for a bit, it was gorgeous but because the sun was shining it got a bit warm so I kept going in the river to cool down then back in the hot pools again.
We were sitting in the hot pool relaxing and a paddling pool floated down the river with about 6 people in it, then another one and a few on lilo's, it was really funny.
After here we carried on our walk, it was really pretty from here, we were following the path of the river but higher up so had gorgeous views the whole way. After about another hour we arrived at the Huka Falls. They were pretty but not that impressive but it didnt matter because the journey to them was worth it.
We headed back to the hostel, stopping every now and then to cool off in the river and go for a swim. We didn't get back untill about 6pm and we were starving so we went out for dinner with Sarah then had an early night. Very good Day
