We have been in AUstralia now for two weeks and we are loving it!! apart from the now regular rubbish weather!!
Cairns was really cool we spent most of our time there lying around the lagoon in the town as you can't go in the sea since it is jellyfish season.
Whilst in Cairns we went diving on the gresat barrier reef we saw sharks and lots of fish but we all decided that the coral and marine life was better when we went diving in Phi Phi, Thailand, but it was still pretty cool to have been diving on the great barrier reef!!
We moved on to Magnetic Island so called because Captain Cooks compass went out of sink by Magnetic Island when they first discovered it!
Then we moved on to Airlie Beach where you leave to do the WHitsundays sailing trip!! It was a ereally cool trip as we got to do some sailing on our boat and snorkelling off the boat even though there were still lots of jelly fish!! It rained pretty much the whole time though and a few people were sea sick!! however it was really good fun and we visited Whitehaven beach supposedly the second most beautiful beach in the world but it rained when we went so we couldn't really appreciate it fully!!
After Airlie beach we moved onto the compulsory stop on our bus which was at a cattle ranch in the outback. We got to go on a bucking bronco and crap whips. Then the day after we went clay pidgeon shooting, and we grouped up in teams to do a goat rodeo where we had to pretend to brand a goat and we were timed. My job was to fetch the goat frionm the paddock but i must have picked the most stubborn goat cause it just wouldn't move when i had a hold of it horns!! we did it eventually but didn't win! Then we got to have a go at goat mustering on horses which was really good fun we had to move the goats across 4 paddocks keeping them all together whislt on our horses!!!
After the cattle ranch we stopped at a town called 1770 where Captain Cook first set on land in Queensland and where the great barrier reef ends. It was a very quiet town so we didn't get to do much!!
