Hello Griffith Family!!
What amazing pics from the Philipines! I loved seeing you all handing out rice, attending the Jesus Rally all the children looking so innocent and happy and all your beautiful travels of the country. Kids, your writings were wonderful!! We can't wait to experience Thailand and Hong Kong with you. We'll be there in 3 months!! Keep up the great work. Love, Kim

Hi Sue and family, thanks for sending us this link to see your great pics and blogs. It all looks so fantastic! Wish Hinsdale was that exciting! Did you get our Christmas card? I hope so. Dana and Erin say hi, as does John. Take care, Lea

Hi, Everyone! I loved the pics from the Philipines! Can't wait to show them to the kids and Uncle Bill. It is so great that you all did the mission work there with your church. Last spring David, Carolyn, Uncle Bill, and I helped pack nutritious meals for children in Africa. We also did a 5 day food challenge to eat the diet of third world countries. It was beans, rice and oatmeal with no sugar or milk on it. The portion sizes were 1/2 cup for children and 3/4 cup for adults. We all really noticed how much less energy we had. Carolyn had a harder time in gym class. Both kids said their backpacks seemed so much heavier. Uncle Bill and I both had less energy for exercise and were generally more tired. It really did help to give us greater understanding and empathy for the suffering that goes on all over the world every day. Realizing that a child dies every 5 seconds somewhere in the world from hunger-related causes makes what you all did even more special! Way to go on making a difference in those kids lives!!!! I'm proud of you all! Love, Aunt Lori

To all of you,
Hope your New Year is as wonderful and packed with new adventures as the pictures and blogs I just finished viewing. What a great education you are getting (and the rest of us by proxy). I don't have your address, Sue, so a belated Happy B'Day (all the bright folks have November B'Days--just ask your dad).
Love,
Aunt Fran

Merry Christmas! It was great to talk to all of you this morning! I loved reading your blog on Buddhism, Colin. Lauren and Mallory, all of the pictures of you guys are great! You sure are both photogenic! It looks like you're having a wonderful time! David is jealous of your sailing lessons in Hong Kong. Colin, I loved your stone writing at the top of Mt. Fuji. It reminded me of Frog Paradise. It was so You. We'll send you more from the kids and a picture of Quincy tomorrow. Love to all, Aunt Lori
