Hi I'm finally here! So it hit me on the plane from Sydney to here that i am actually on my own and I'm quite scared now! Don't know a soul. I'm in a dorm of four girls but I've only met one. She's really nice but leaves first thing in the morning so it's bk to square one. She says thw bus is where I will start to meet people so I will propb spend 2mo on my own walking round Christchurch and then I will move on round first thing on Sunday morning- it's all a bit daunting but I'm assured that it's not as bad as I think! Hope the prom is great for everyone- I'm sad I will miss it. Not really sure what to do with myself but make sure you all keep in touch via the ol' email- I think I'm gonna need it. It's also pretty cold out here. Not freezing yet but our room has no central heating so that's gonna be fun. The flight was so long and boring it was a relief to get here. I slept for a lot of the way but it's hardly beauty sleep!! I would, in hindsight, recommend stopping over in Sydney for a couple of nights or something otherwise you end up not being able to function -a la moi!
