Another sea day and another hours sleep lost as we travel east. Lovely show last night. This am interesting passage through lots of islands as we turned from the Andaman Sea into the Straits of Malacca. Very warm but overcast indeed a few drops of rain first thing. Another day at sea with hot sunshine and a stiff breeze. Sea quite choppy. Just had a swim in the terrace pool at the stern and it was like having a wave machine. As the ship dips you end up swimming uphill against the current! Very lazy day by the pool. Dinner without our table companions as they have gone to the Ocean Grill. Super after dinner show. Lose another hour tonight-that is the trouble with travelling eastwards. NowGMT plus eight.

Three days at sea now but never boring. Had breakfast in the restaurant where the Captain joined us. I said the trip last night through miles of tiny fishing boats all carrying tiny lights made me feel the ship was like the Starship Enterprise travelling through the Milky Way! He was very amused but said that there were so many of them so close that he stayed on the bridge till midnight.They were so close and the night so still he could hear them reading the name...

Lovely day in Cochin after a horrendous queue of an hour for Indian immigration. Then straight onto the buses and down to the quay. Cochin is built on seven islands, some natural and some man made. We had a lovely sail amongst the fishing boats. One million people in Cochin are involved in fishing. We saw lots of birds including hundreds of egrets. We also saw the huge Chinese fishing nets for which the area is famous. The local people are lovely, full of smiles ...

Another amazing day at sea. Started with breakfast in the restaurant. Then found a really quiet and uncrossed spot immediately in front of the gym. Spent a quiet morning reading etc then had a really good barbq for Australia day. Quiet pm too with C & I having a lovely dip in the pool which brought out blood heat right down . Evening meal in the restaurant.
