Day 58 Sun 21st May - Up at 6.30 for Oz bus ride from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. Drove past the Glass Top mountians, which apparently is what remains of the largest vocanic eruption in the earth's history. Day 57 Sat May 20th Up at 6.30am and said goodbye to the guys we met at Sydney, for bus ride inland to Nimbin, a picturesque alternative village with a colourful 'hippy' past, stop for a coffee and cake :o) Visit to the hippy museum and candle factory. Day 55 Thursday 18th May - Up early for morning surf lesson. The beach was deserted and sunny and we all did even better today after last nights practice. In between falling in loads and getting a beating from the crashing waves, as you made my way back out to sea, I managed to catch some of my own waves and ride them into the beach, which felt amazing. Day 54 Wed 17th May - Up at 7am for breakfast followed by abseiling, which was scary when you lean back over the edge having the trust the ropes. First 2 times went well so our instructor said I could go over another edge where a black python may be in the gap in the rocks.........luckily he wasn't, but I got a bit over confident and tried a jump between two rock faces and slammed into the wall, which made the instructors laugh and me too :o) Straight on the bus ...
