So, NZ is over and done with! I can't remeber what I was talking about in my last blog, so instead I shall tell you all my list of strange things about NZ:

1. They call honeycomb "hokey pokey"

2. when they say web addresses they say "dub dub dub" for "www"

3. They have some weird fruit call ed feijoa which tastes horrible

4. They have TWO buttons on the toilet flush!

5. Everything is boysenberry flavour, and I'm not sure what that is!

6. They have prices like $1.36 when 1,2 and 5 cent coins don't exist so they round up or down the price for you.

7. They have stupid traffic lights which I can't begin to explain, just take my word for it

8. On saturdays, the shops close atlunch! How does anyone do their shopping? The souvenier shops stay open until about 9pm. Useful.

So, after taking me 4 weeks to discover all the above, I have managed to make my way to Australia. Crikey! We got to watch some very cool films on the way over- Hairspray and the Simpsons movie. We are in Cairns at the moment, and it is so incredibly hot. At least 31degrees every day! I feel like I'm melting away. It must be the same temp as it was in Fiji, but somehow it feels hotter.

We have done our snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, which was amazing. We even decided to do an intorductory scuba dive hich I was nervous about at first as you have to do these little tests under water to make sure you will be able to cpe, and it just felt weird being able to breathe normally under water but once we started going it was really cool. We went down 10m, and we saw some reef sharks and a huge Moray eel which is bigger than a person!

Tomorrow we make our way own the coast, first stop Mission Beach. we don't really know what our plans are going to be at any stop along the way t Sydeny. We just know we have to be there by the 23rd, and so will find places to fill the gaps!

I have been trying to get my photos on here for ages, but everytime I do it my camera seems to crash the computer. I've been on 3 different comps and the same thing happens every time! It just freezes, so hopefully if there is a comp strong ennough to cope with my camera they will be on here soon!!
