Hi,
We arrived safe and sound at Dalkeith House in Scotland at about 7:00 pm. We have our own room! Our first meal was at "The Cavaliere Italian Restaurant."
We are having an international experience but I would not have predicted what happened. I think eating a good Italian meal is fun but surprising as a first Scotland experience. Jan appreciated the bruschetta, pasta, and pizza. Tomorrow we go native, fish, chips, and haggis "Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish, considered the national dish of Scotland as a result of Robert Burns' poem Address to a Haggis of 1787."
I did enjoy the meal and talking to our Italian waiter who has lived in country for nine years. I can't imagine why he moved to Scotland but he promised to tell me more about his move next time we meet.
We will write after we have rested. Watch for a photo of the Dalkeith House.
My best,
Gordy
