A good tour guide is worth their weight in gold - and we have a good one here :) Steve is a WWII historian today he walked us around the city of Munich, showing us all the historic and significant sites. We stopped for lunch and had nurnbrrger rostbratwurste auf weinsauerkraut in a traditional Bavarian bier hall.

Last day in Paris and thanks to the rain yesterday we both have a bit of a cold now :( fortunately France still sells decent cold and flu drugs (unlike Aus) the only thing we could read on the box was pseudoephedrine. We had a cheese-y lunch Bryan liked his triple cheese pizza. Hoping the Munich hotel is nicer, fingers crossed, currently waiting at the airport.

In Bryan's words we have seen a 'big rock' (arc de triumph), a 'b****in gate' (grand palais) and a 'killa antenna' (place de la Concorde). Today we played the obvious tourist, riding the open top tourist bus up to Monmatre and Sacre Couer (stunning view of the city and impressive interior) on the way back we sat in the top when it suddenly started to pour rain - in 11 degree weather being wet is quite cold so we jumped off and into a taxi to speed up the journey ...

J'adore Paris! I have almost forgiven them for not having NYE fireworks, almost, the architecture is stunning I could just walk around for months makes me wonder if I should have been an architect. We walked down the Siene today through the Louvre, past the Palais Royale, through the Place de la Concorde, ultimately heading for Notre Dame. Got up super early today for a flight to Paris, there was a little snow on the ground in Krakow. Bryan and I make a Terrible 'sense of direction' team lol once in Paris we spent more than an hour going around in circles trying to find the hotel turns out I'd marked the wrong spot on the map. Massively disappointed there are no NYE fireworks in Paris that was the sole reason we came :( Watching Glee in French. There are a number of 'noel' markets at the moment, ...
