Word up!
Byron is beaut man, very clean beach and a very laid back place. Once I arrived I met up with a couple of lads from Burnley that I'd met in Sydney. We chilled on the beach and played cards. On Friday night we went to a grief hole called Cheeky Monkeys, they have a pleb on a microphone who encourages silly behaviour....i'm too old for that sort of thing now. What i'm not too old for though is muchos beers follwed by hash cakes. I'm also not too old for having to make immediate exits from nightclubs and wandering home at 3am wondering what my name is. I was staying in what can only be described as a hippy commune and people sitting around playing didgeridoos and juggling did not help my state of mind. The next day I got talking to this girl called Yesh. She did my head in. "I'm getting a tattoo of a cat's scratch on my arm, i've never seen anyone with one of them". "Yeah, that sounds phat, there is a place in town, fancy getting it done today?" I encouraged. Upon my return I saw a girl working there with said tat....it was dry man!!
Lovely as it was in Byron I got bored of it after a few days so I jetted didn't I...up to Surfers Paradise. But I'll save tales from there for another time/blog.
One love
