Scone Palace, UK Sep 24, 2013 After having to say bye to my best bud, we then made our way to Scone (pronounced scoon) Palace which is the current residence of the Earl of Mansfield. Beautiful building and grounds.
The Famous Grouse Distillery, UK Sep 24, 2013 Well we started the day with a hearty breakfast of black pudding. Wasn't too keen to try but thanks to the wonderful cooking of Scotland's very own chef extraordinaire - Alasdair Melville, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Will do it again. Wallace Monument, UK Sep 23, 2013 Still in Stirling, and to the William Wallace monument. 246 steps (spiral) to the top, Ali and I made it to the top, alas Dougie did about 20 and decided nahhhh. Well worth it but might not think so tomorrow. Having a wine now to recuperate.
Stirling Castle, UK Sep 23, 2013 Ali and Linda took us to Stirling Castle, Stirling. Magnificent buildings! A few stairs but do-able. Here'a a shot of Ali and Douglas with the lovely Linda. Great views of Scotland and from here we could see the Wallace Monument and that's where we headed.
