Skint Ex-Students on Tour
Just an update from the last few days, we've arrived in Mong Kok today to our final hotel for Hong Kong, it's a bit flash especially compared to the place we stayed in last night. Admittedly we didn't pay much for it but oh my lord! Let's just say prison cell mates probably have more space than we did! What a scary block of flats especially the other residents! So we got out of there sharpish! It's been the first Monday morning in a while that we've actually got up before 7am. But I suppose you could say its all part of the experience and we should come to expect it. We also had an indian fortune teller crook approach us at the Avenue of Stars....apparently Chris will live to 88 years old! He requested 100 Hong Kong dollars but bargained with the wrong tourists, he got away with about 70p!! Get out of it we haven't got much money mate! Last night we went to see the Hong Kong skyline by night, the symphony of lights harbour tour, it was amazing. If u look at the picture we sailed in the river between the 2 sets of buldings, it was a sight, some pretty tall buildings with lazers shining off them. We're having a lazy day in the hotel today recovering from last nights traumatic stay in the cosmic guesthouse, now known to us as cell block H. We're going to chill out by the roof top pool, abuse the hotel bar and make use of our air conditioned room, don't know when we'll have another chance! Off to victoria Peak tomorrow for our last day, the highest point on Hong kong Island, which we get to by a rickety old tram up a 70 degree gradient hill...pretty steep. Then off to singapore on wednesday, speak soon....laterz x x
