After 2 glorious weeks gallivanting around beautiful England, visiting old friends and family, I have managed to tear myself away to go to France.
Took the Folkestone to Calais channel tunnel again. Good old IPhone Sat nav helped me to negotiate the express ways out of Calais. I had set it togo to Trento on Lake Garda so it took me on a toll road which I found boring after 90 miles and drove off. That section cost £10. The minor roads are much rmore interesting.
Feeling tired I reached the small town of Guise where I found a lovely little campsite next to a canal for £10. Walked into the centre where the shops were already closed but managed to buy my first baguette although no cheese was to be had. So supper was baguette with mustard and wild red tinned salmon and a glass of white wine under the tree next to my van.
Sacha is very happy having just had a swim in the canal.
