Massive thunderstorm and rain in the night. Put toothpaste on my ankles thinking it was sting relief cream!
Cloudy in the morning and took Sach for a bike ride so easy as so flat
Then I biked to Chenonceau Chateau. Found out there is a campsite right there yet when i asked the girl in the shop she said there wasn't one there.
I liked it a lot because there was a great feminine influence.
Powerful females such as Diane de Poitier , Catherine de Medici, and Louise Dupin who surrounded herself with the elite writers, musicians and scientists such as Voltaire and Rousseau. The usual amazing furniture most of it being about 500years old and yet it isn't all cordoned off.
The gardens were beautiful as well. In one pond there little green frogs sounding 'wha?' wha or blah blah with bubbles out side their ears. There seemed to be so many cyclists with skinny black legs and nappied bottoms.
Picture above is of Louis IV in an amazingly large carved frame.
Had mediocre lunch in the village of dry chicken salad and chips. That is why I don't eat out much as the cheap food is bad and the more expensive is mediocre. Probably the expensive is very good but I am not prepared to pay so much.
When I got back to the campsite Sach didn't want to come out of the van because of a loud bang going off every 10 minutes. So I drove away from the area and did a big shop and I had run out of dog food.
Whilst eating some mackerel and salad and of course drinking red wine in the sunshine I heard the jets of the balloons. I looked up and there they were floating above us. They do look beautiful.
